Working with Text

Text is a fundamental element of your landing pages, and with Landerlab’s intuitive interface, you can create compelling and visually appealing content to engage with your audience.

Whether it is a headline or paragraph this article will walk you through the process step-by-step.

How to Add a Paragraph

Follow the instructions below to properly add a paragraph element to your page.

  1. Open your landing page in the visual editor.
  2. When inside the visual editor, click on Elements from the left-side panel of your screen.
  3. From the list of available elements, drag and drop the Text element to the desired area of your landing page.

How to Add a Heading

Follow the instructions below to properly add a heading element to your page.

  1. Open your landing page in the visual editor.
  2. When inside the visual editor, click on Elements from the left-side panel of your screen.
  3. From the list of available elements, drag and drop the Heading element to the desired area of your landing page.

How to Add a Text Block

Follow the instructions below to properly add a text block element (composed of a heading and paragraph) to your page.

  1. Open your landing page in the visual editor.
  2. When inside the visual editor, click on Elements from the left-side panel of your screen.
  3. From the list of available elements, drag and drop the Text Block element to the desired area of your landing page.

How to Edit Text

Editing the text in Landerlab is very easy. To edit the paragraphs, headers, or text blocks present in your landing page simply double-click on the text element that you want to edit to start typing, replace or update the content of the text element.

Text Formatting and Properties

Landerlab text editor provides the full range of formatting options that you need to fully customize and personalize your landing page’s text.

  • Element alignment: Text element horizontal and vertical alignment.
  • Text alignment: Text horizontal and vertical alignment.
  • Text: Font Family, size, font weight, line weight, line spacing and letter case.
  • Text color and background color.
  • Border: Border width, color and corder type.
  • Border radius.
  • Text element spacing (aka. Padding).
  • Text element margin.
  • Text element opacity

Using the above-listed properties you will be able to quickly format the text to your liking using just simple click actions.

Example: Let’s add a text block to our page and adjust the following properties. Text alignment, font type and font color.

To make the following changes, you will need to follow the below steps:

  1. Open your landing page in the visual editor.
  2. When inside the visual editor, click on Elements from the left-side panel of your screen.
  3. From the list of available elements, drag and drop the Text Block element to the desired area of your landing page.
  4. Select the text block and change the text alignment from center to left.
  5. With the text block selected change the font type from the default one to Lato
  6. Change the font color from grey to blue.

While you can play with all the settings you find on the right-side panel of your screen when formatting your text elements, you can also leverage the below widely used standard shortcuts:

Control + B: Makes the text bold
Control + I: Makes the text italic
Control + U: Makes the text underlined
