OTP (One-Time Password) verification allows you to confirm the validity of a user’s telephone number by automatically sending an SMS code that the user must input to proceed. This is essential for generating high-quality leads.
Crucial Setup Requirement
To ensure the OTP system functions correctly and sends the verification SMS, the OTP field block must be placed immediately following the telephone number input field.
Note: The LanderLab system automatically looks for the telephone number provided in the preceding input field, extracts it, and triggers the SMS sending process to that number.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Ensure the Telephone Number Field is Present
- In your quiz step, verify that you have an input field specifically designed for Telephone Number. The user will enter their number here.
2. Add the OTP Field Block
- While in the Quiz Builder, click the Add Block button.
- Select the OTP Field block type and drag it onto the step.
- Placement: Drag the OTP Field block to be directly after the Telephone Number input field.
3. Configure the OTP Field Settings
- Select the new OTP field to open its settings panel.
- Name: You may confirm the field’s internal Name (though the system handles the verification logic).
- Styling: Adjust the placeholder text, button text (e.g., “Send Code”), and styling as needed.
4. Testing and Verification
- Save and Republish your landing page.
- Test the flow by entering a valid phone number. You should automatically receive an SMS with the verification code, and the OTP field should accept and validate the code before allowing the user to proceed.
